Eye Level: A Series for TakePart.com

Show Cobra conceived and produced Eye Level, a 10-part series for TakePart.com, the digital division of Participant Media, the company behind important films such as An Inconvenient Truth, Waiting For Superman, Food Inc., The Help, and many others.

The show explores how artists are inspired by and use the power of music to effectuate positive transformations in their lives and in the world at large. Eye Level shines a light on how the power of a song can influence change around the world.

This year, the United Nations’ World Humanitarian Day Event featured a roster of A-list presenters and a performance by Beyoncé. It was also the backdrop for her new video, “I Was Here.” Show Cobra produced the event and was the tech production partner for the video, which has garnered over 14 million views.

The Ace Hotel New York tapped Show Cobra and The Bowery Presents to help produce a series of intimate performances in their lobby with co-sponsors Martin Guitars. The performances feature five songs at 5 PM by artists we admire — the shows are kept secret until a few hours before they begin, and each event is announced via Twitter @acehotel, as well as at @bowerypresents and @martinguitar. Sub Pop artist Father John Misty, aka J Tillman formerly of Fleet Foxes, kicked off the series. Next up is the Thermals on March. 11th.
