Jason Ross | President, LoveLive US
Jason Ross has shaped an eclectic career in the entertainment industry over the past 18 years. Beginning as a recording artist and record producer, Jason later transitioned to video, film, and digital media production. He founded Show Cobra in 2006 as collaborative creative agency focused on a range of turnkey production services, including live events, live streaming, original television & web series, and documentary films.
Jason is also the the Head of Media and Strategic Partnerships at The Bowery Presents, the leading independent concert promoter in the Northeast. Jason oversees strategic media partnerships and event sponsorship across all TBP rooms and festivals, and stewards all original content production and programming.
Prior to founding Show Cobra, Jason worked at MTV Networks, serving first as music supervisor, and later rising through the ranks of television production as a producer on the Emmy Award winning series “Made.”
Jason splits his time between Brooklyn, NY and Chapel Hill, NC where he resides with his wife, son and daughter.
Kate Susman | SVP, Development
Kate Susman has served as Supervising Producer on every Show Cobra production since joining the team in 2010. She helped develop and launch the Bowery Presents Live on YouTube, produced multiple series for Vevo, produced award-winning commercial work for Jordan Brand and Wieden +Kennedy, and has worked on a wide variety of music series, live events, and branded content for Porsche, Heineken, American Express, Converse and a diverse array of artists and agencies.
Before joining Show Cobra in 2010, Kate was the Director of Development at Embassy Row, a Sony Pictures Television subsidiary. During her tenure there, she was the show runner for The 9, a groundbreaking daily entertainment news series on Yahoo, and the supervising producer of POPTUB, a daily YouTube series sponsored by Pepsi. As a shooter and producer, Kate’s work has appeared on IFC, VH1, Fuse, BET and MTV and she’s worked closely with a diverse array of brands and agencies.
Kate resides in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with her husband.
Bryan Walters | Director of Production
Bryan came to Show Cobra having navigated the waters at MTV Networks for 12 years. As a staff Line Producer he worked on large scale productions such as the VMAs, Movie Awards, Icon Awards, Hip Hop Honors, Divas, as well as special event concerts such as Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash, Save the Music, and NKOTB Live from Boston. Some of his favorite work included smaller, intimate live concert productions such as VH1′s Storytellers, Pink’s Flash Mob, and MTV2 $2 Bill Concert Series featuring Coldplay, Radiohead, Beastie Boys, and the Killers. Beyond live concerts, he also has produced series, special events, and red carpets.
Peter Gaston | Head of Content
Peter Gaston recently joined Show Cobra after eight-plus years at SPIN Media, having wrapped his run there as Special Projects Director, overseeing branded content and revenue-driven editorial extensions. That promotion followed a long stretch on SPIN’s editorial side, where he served as editor of SPIN.com before becoming the company’s Interactive Director in 2007, leading the charge to build a formidable digital presence for the iconic magazine. Prior to SPIN, Peter got his start as an associate editor with the plucky, but now defunct online music destination/retail site CDNOW. He’s also been invited to discuss the music business, trends, and technology as a guest on NPR, CNN, Fuse, ABC, FOX, and other outlets, including WTOL in Ohio, where he curates a monthly segment on new music.
Matt Boyd | Director
Matt Boyd was born in Virginia and grew up in Germany and throughout the American South. He has worked extensively as a director, cinematographer and editor in the NY documentary and music scenes for 10 years. His work has been seen worldwide in festivals, art spaces, television and the web. He was recently tapped by iconic artist David Byrne to edit his most recent concert film RIDE, RISE, ROAR. As a director Boydʼs works include live performance films, independent, and commercial profiles of artists Eric Haze, NeYo, Spiritualized, Eminem, Adam Levine, The Flaming Lips, The Dirty Projectors, Sleigh Bells and Dolly Parton. Recent works include his feature debut, critically acclaimed A Rubberband Is An Unlikely Instrument, Spin 25 Live on Fuse TV, and online ad campaigns for Shriners, Heineken and Nike, including the Cannes Lion winner Carmelo Anthony Explosive Flight.
Dom Whitworth | Senior Editor / Live Director
Dom has been a senior editor and live director at Show Cobra for the past two years. He’s worked with bands such as Metallica, the Flaming Lips, Spiritualized, the xx, Florence + the Machine, Iron and Wine, and the Breeders. He’s created content for Coke, Virgin, Amnesty International, and Nike on their award winning coverage from soccer’s 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Dom is equally at home directing live events, having worked with channels such as the BBC, Channel4, Sky, and PBS. His recent works include the Toast to Freedom campaign for Amnesty International, online ad campaigns for Heineken, Nike’s award winning Carmelo Anthony Explosive Flight spot, Linkin Park in Red Square, and the Michael Jackson tribute concert.
Charlie Clark | Supervising Producer
Hailing from the land down under, Charlie’s eclectic production career began at Stream/TBWA London where he managed content development for brands such as PlayStation, Nissan, and Orange. After three years agency-side, Charlie moved into the freelance game, working on music videos, documentaries, and short films, including a personal project entitled SoWhat. It was a wild European adventure undertaken with his brother and best mate, crossing paths with electronic act Justice, graffiti artist JonOne, and brands like Coke and Rough Trade Records. Charlie was drawn to the bright lights of New York in 2011 and hasn’t looked back. Prior to joining Show Cobra in early 2012, Charlie hit the road with Kanye West and Jay-Z for their Watch The Throne Tour, producing exclusive daily behind-the-scenes episodes covering 25 dates including the SWU Festival in Brazil.
Genevieve Ingham | Production & Edit Associate
Genevieve Ingham joined Show Cobra in 2012 after moving to New York from Sydney, Australia. She earned degrees in film and music from the University of New South Wales, including a period of study in the UK, and has since focused her studies on post-production. Since crossing the pond, she’s assisted in post-production for the documentary film, Do You Dream In Color, freelance video editing for the UK’s XFM, and shooting for Old Fulton Sessions. Before coming to the States, Genevieve was involved in a number of musical pursuits, performing as a jazz singer, arranging and composing original music, and working in promotion for festivals like Stereosonic and We Love Sounds.
